Hosting these programs gives parents an alternative to having their children go home alone.
The only requirements of the school are to provide space; generally the cafeteria and a classroom if a ½ day program is desired; allow signage to be posted showing that Latchkey is on site; and, distribute information provided by Latchkey to the student body. Then just sit back and let Latchkey handle the day-to-day operation.
Latchkey carries its own liability insurance for all of our programs. We maintain a $2,000,000 general aggregate policy with coverage for the children while in our care, as well as listing each school district as an insured.
Latchkey provides all equipment and supplies required to operate a quality program. DHS and the Health Department inspect and approve all of our materials. Equipment and supplies are selected to meet the developmental needs of children pre-kindergarten to sixth grade.
Latchkey installs and pays the monthly cost of telephone service. This telephone line is completely separate from the school's telephone system.
